We learned and wrote about some important skills necessary in the work force. Without them, society will not function smoothly and many unwanted problems will arise. All skills that are listed are necessary in the workplace and in life. However, I believe that the ability to solve problems is the most important. It is due to the fact that in the world of engineering the main goal is to find a solution to major issues. Whether it be machines, buildings or climate, each one will have problems which humanity has to overcome through innovation. When it comes to machines, we are constantly upgrading them to make them less prone to error. For buildings, we started from making mud houses which can easily be destroyed by natural forces to building skyscrapers. For climate change, we are slowly turning from gas cars to electric. Without the ability to solve problems, nothing would change.
